The Timberwolves have had the same owner for almost 20 years, and that won't change soon. But what will change is that Glen Taylor has expressed interest in sharing ownership with someone he will eventually pass the mantle on to.
Taylor hopes to show the next owner the ropes, although he emphasizes that it's for security should he need to step down, not that he plans to step down. After all, he hopes to see the Timberwolves win before he goes! The Timberwolves have been in "rebuilding mode" since 2007 and Taylor says it's time to win and is putting pressure on Kahn to build a better team next year.
Taylor has said that he hopes his new partner will be Minnesotan, as his main priority is to keep the Timberwolves in Minnesota. He saved them from moving in 1994 and hopes that the next owner will have the same priorities.
Who do you want to see owning the Timberwolves next year?
