Meet Jose Barea and Derrick Williams for the Timberwolves
Meet Jose Barea, a guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Barea was born and raised in Puerto Rico. In 2006, Barea signed as a free agent with Dallas. Barea resigned with the Mavs in 2008.
Barea went on to sign as a free agent with the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 14, 2011. During Barea's first season with the Timberwolves, he averaged a career-high 9.5 points, 2.0 rebounds. Barea shot 43.9 percent from the field that season.

Derrick Williams, born May 25, 1991 in La Mirada, California, After four solid years of playing high school basketball in California, recruiters were practically knocking down Williams’ door. Derrick Williams eventually decided to attend the University of Arizona where he quickly fell into the pace of college ball.
In the 2011 NBA Draft, Derrick Williams was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the second overall pick. Because of his immense talent, Williams has been integral to the rebuilding process in Minnesota, as well as bringing in swarms of fans.
