CASEY IS THE SCAPEGOAT

The Minnesota Timberwolves front office took the easy way out by deciding that all of the Wolves recent woes were caused by their coach. I am a little perplexed by this decision. Why hasn't Kevin McHale been shown the door for his numerous mistakes? What won-loss record did the Timberwolves brass think that they would have at this point? Let's face it, the current roster of the Minnesota Timberwolves is no better than the 20 - 20 record that they have so far this season. Taylor & McHale are delusional if they think that this team is anything better than an average NBA team. Casey took a team that was expected to be lottery-bound, had them at .500 and in line for a playoff spot at the halfway point of the season in a very tough conference. Apparently that wasn't good enough. Like so many other NBA coaches before him, Dwane Casey has been unfairly blamed for everything that ails his team. I am sad to see him go and only hope that Kevin Mchale will be the next to be shown the door.

I disagree that Dwane Casey is just a scapegoat for McHale - I think the Timberwolves have real talent on the bench and a coaching change needed to be made. I applaud McHale for recognizing that the team is not where it needs to be and making some changes - I don't think Randy Wittman is "our man" but I look forward to more changes in Wolves personnel (maybe even McHale?!?) to turn this team around. Come on Wolves, Let's recruit solid players and keep them!
