Timberwolves Courting Courtney Lee

After Nic Batum chose Portland over the Timberwolves, all signs point to the Wolves seeking out the free agent Courtney Lee.

Lee is an unrestricted free agent who last played with the Houston Rockets.

Many reports designate Lee to be the last remaining shooting guard of starting caliber available in the free agent market. Obviously this makes acquiring Lee a high priority for the Timberwolves. Additionally, while Ricky Rubio loves to penetrate into the interior of the defense, Lee is more of an outside-the-arc kind of guy, making Lee a perfect complement to Rubio.

After losing Nic Batum, the Wolves really have this one last shot to seal up their one weak position.

This gets me thinking... will the Timberwolves make the playoffs next season if they get Lee? Would they make the playoffs without Lee? Or will the Wolves be on the outside of the post season for another year?
