Kahn trades 3 players for Clipper's Quentin Richardson

David Kahn continues to make good on the promise he made to shake up the Timberwolves roster until Minnesota has a team of pro basketball players that can offer us a true shot at winning. This week Kahn traded Mark Madsen, Craig Smith and Sebastian Telfair for Quentin Richardson a gaurd and forward from the L.A. Clippers.

In an interview after the trade Kahn told reporters, "While it's difficult to part ways with three outstanding young men who have been such an important part of this team and this community, this move provides us additional flexibility as we continue to reshape our roster into one positioned for long-term success."

Richardson was the 18th overall 2000 NBA Draft pick. He has had playing time with the Clippers, Pheonix Suns and the New York Knicks. Perhaps the experience he gained with these successful teams will translate into leadership here on the courts in Minnesota.

Now if Kahn could make good on his promise to find an outstanding coach...
