WOLVES BEAT SUNS AT TARGET CENTER

I could not believe my eyes when the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Phoenix Suns Monday night 112 to 121. The Wolves were ON FIRE! K.G. racked up a whopping 44 points and played the best game of the year. I am not convinced that Garnett can carry this team on his own, but he sure played like he could on Monday night. The Timberwolves only allowed two turnovers in the second half and successfully put an end to the Suns winning streak. I was pretty sure most of the fans at the Target Center were there to see Nash and the Suns because they are so hot right now, but I like what Randy Wittman said in a post game quote:

"As I told the guys afterwards, 'You know what? I believed in you, you guys believed you could do it, and you did it.' This should not be a surprise for us. They are in our building, we have to develop more pride in this place. These are our fans, this is our community. They are not here to watch Phoenix, they are here to watch us, and they were great tonight. They helped us as much as really anybody down the stretch. I could feel it."

Wittman is right, the Timberwolves have to take ownership of the Target Center and keep winning games at home! Go Wolves!
