Size and Blocked Shots Desired

One thing I want to see the Minnesota Timberwolves do during the offseason is to pick up some kind of a big man who can play inside defense to compliment Kevin Garnett. I’m ambivalent about Mark Blount and his pros and cons for the Timberwolves, but one thing is for sure: he’s not a shot-blocker. I thought Eddie Griffin was the man to come in during crunch-time for the Timberwolves when they needed a big defensive stop, but he never was liked by the coaching staff this year and now he’s not even on the team. I’m not sure if the Timberwolves will want to spend their first-round pick on a big man who might not pan out, but with the team’s overflow of guards, what would they do with another one? Here’s another sure thing: The Timberwolves have a few roster moves to make come next season.
