Timberwolves Al Jefferson, Happy Guy

Many NBA basketball players work out on the off-season – I am fairly certain all the really good ones do anyway and the Timberwolves web site put up some notes about new Timberwolf Al Jefferson’s off-season workouts that I thought were intriguing. Jefferson is happy that he is getting the opportunity to play with a lot of guys early on and that they are even getting the chance to match-up full court before Timberwolves training camp even opens.

Al Jefferson is quick to point out that chemistry on the team is fine and he sees it as an advantage that he has played with so many of the Timberwolves players before and not just the ones that got traded with him. Jefferson has played with new Timberwolves draft pick Corey Brewer back in high school and don’t forget that Ricky Davis used to play on the Celtics team as well. Jefferson’s comments are all positive and they seem like genuine honest comments. He mentions that all of the guys live pretty close and they spend a lot of time together both on and off the court. Jefferson says they eat out a lot together and that helps build team solidarity as well. Timberwolves fans – keep your eyes open for all the big boys in blue and be sure to comment me if you have any Timberwolves sightings!

Al Jefferson Fun Stat Fact: Last season Jefferson averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds and nearly two blocks a game. He has been touted for a dynamite post game and a world of potential. Timberwolves fans will be anxiously waiting to see how he does on the Target Center court in a Timberwolves jersey.
