A Disaster-free Draft

With Kevin McHale gone and David Kahn calling the shots for tonight's NBA draft, Timberwolves fans may not have to hold their breath and cringe as it all goes down in Madison Square Gardens tonight.

Most draft critics are saying that Kahn has made good pre-draft trades and choices and the Timberwolves may have a shot at some real talent. Basically, Kahn traded Randy Foye and Mike Miller to Washington for the number 5 pick, along with the Timberwolves own number 6 pick things are looking good. Rumors are circulating that Kahn is also talking with Memphis to get the number 2 pick in the hopes of drafting either Hasheem Thabeet or Ricky Rubio. While both are young players, they have a lot of talent and could really bring a new energy to a team that is in major need of a spark.

Timberwolves fans called for change for the coming season and it looks like with Kahn calling the shots that is just what they are going to get. Watch the NBA Draft tonight to see what he will do next.

Hanging in there with the Wolves said...

Ricky Rubio is a great draft choice . . . but if he doesn't play THIS SEASON I will have no reason to buy a Timberwolves Ticket and see a game.

The next few months will tell if this draft is disaster free or not.
