The Minnesota Timberwolves arrived in London, England over the weekend (sidenote - I studied there last spring!). Just like that Warren Zevon song, instead of the "Werewolves of London" it is the "Timberwolves of London." They will play the Los Angeles Lakers at the O2 Arena today, where the 2012 Olympics Basketball will be held. The Minnesota Timberwolves have been practicing each day and have done a little bit of sightseeing (Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, etc.). The 02 Arena fits 23,000 fans and it is expected to sell out. They will play 2 PM Central Time today, and will travel to Paris to face the New York Knicks after the game.
