The news was bad for Timberwolves fans to hear: Ricky Rubio, our import star, had a torn ACL in his left knee.Then, later it was revealed that Rubio also had a torn lateral collateral ligament in that knee. The outlook seemed worse yet.
The LCL is considered to be the least important of the four major ligaments in the knee. Adrian Peterson tore his in 2007 and only missed two games.
Rubio has yet to address the media since his surgery, but has been tweeting optimism to his fans ever since the injury.
