Obviously, the names that stick out are Gorgui Dieng,
Shabazz Muhammad, Zach LaVine, Glenn Robinson III and Alexey Shved. The summer
league should play a key role in their development as players, and in the case
of Alexey Shved, could be a deciding factor as whether or not he is still a
salvageable player in the league. Not
trying to sound harsh, but his career might be on the brink of heading back to
Russia.
Play begins on July 12th vs. the Dallas Mavericks
at 5:30 p.m. and continues on July 13th vs. the Washington Wizards
at 9:30 p.m. and then on July 15th vs. the Chicago Bulls at 3:30
p.m. As like last year, the Las Vegas Summer League will include a seeded
tournament, with the first three games listed above acting as preliminary round
games. As part of Summer League, The T-Wolves are guaranteed five games, so the
next two games they play will be determined based on how they perform in the
first three.
