Timberwolves Becoming Nonexistent in Market

I am pretty sure no one is reading this Timberwolves Blog. I am pretty sure no one even cares about the Timberwolves any more. I hardly see any news coverage on them. Even perpetual cheerleader Mark Rosen gives them about 5 seconds of his sports cast these days.

The Wolves are back at the Target Center on Sunday at 2pm. I bet there will be about 16 fans there. Let’s face it the Wolves can’t compete with other more exciting events happening around town on Sunday. Most basketball fans will be at the NCAA Tournament on the other side of town at the Metrodome or hockey aficionados will be across the river at the Xcel Energy Center watching the Minnesota Wild take on the Edmonton Oilers. Heck, watching paint dry may be more amicable than watching the Timberwolves play.

TIMBERWOLVES NEED TO WATCH MEN'S NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNEY CAREFULLY

I hope that the Minnesota Timberwolves front office is planning on carefully watching this years NCAA Men's Basketball tournament. The fact that their season is rapidly turning into a disaster is going to allow the Timberwolves to retain this years first round draft pick. If the pick doesn't fall in the top ten, they need to ship the pick to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of the awful Cassell for Jaric trade. The only silver lining to this year is that there is no way that the Timberwolves aren't going to end the season with a record that will cause them to lose their first round draft pick. I am sure that if it is even close at the end of the year, Randy Wittman will call on Mark Madsen to start shooting three pointers like he did last year when the Timberwolves needed to lose.
