Can Wolves have a Good Season without Garnett?

As an optimistic Minnesota Timberwolves fan, I am praying that the Timberwolves can continue to have Kevin Garnett on their roster and become competitive once again the NBA. I’m trying to convince myself that Garnett is the franchise’s cornerstone, and all the club needs is a few shifts around Garnett to make the team have better chemistry. Both Kevin McHale and Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor have said they wanted to keep Garnett for the 2007-08 season, and presumably this is their hope as well. Hopefully staying the course with Kevin Garnett doesn’t mean the continued decline of the Timberwolves, because getting rid of Garnett would mean at least three years of re-building for sure.

I agree. I was leaning towards trading KG this season but I realized that you really cannot get any good value for him - only 4 players can play next to him.

If we can get a starter in the draft this year I am optimistic we can get a decent year going.

Right now the only scenario where I see us trading KG and having it be worth it is if we get the #1 pick and Oden.

KG should put a "for sale" sign in his front yard because he is going to Lakers.
