Kahn thinks Flynn can take the Timberwolves to the top

David Kahn has come under fire since the NBA draft for not only taking Johnny Flynn but also Ricky Rubio, both of whom play in the backcourt and tend to expect that the ball will make it to their hands. However, there may be a method to Kahn's madness, Rubio is still in negotiations with his European team and Flynn is gearing up to play now, perhaps Kahn was expecting this drama and drafted Flynn so that he would have someone under the hoop.

In an interview this week with Jerry Sullivan, David Kahn was quoted as saying:
"Johnny has a chance to be a very special player. Despite being short [6 feet], he carries himself as if he's three or four inches taller. He has great athletic ability. I think he will become one of the best on-ball defenders in our league. I love his leadership capability. It seems to just ooze out of him."

Since the beginning of his reign as GM of the Timberwolves, Kahn has said he is building a championship team fans can only hope that Flynn will be the one to take us there, because it seems to this Timberwolves fan that Ricky Rubio is giving Minnesota the not so polite Adios!

I hear that Rubio's rep and the Timberwolves met on Monday but the Spanish Buyout is still a big issue... maybe Flynn will get his chance to shine
