Timberwolves Win…Finally

There is a Timberwolves win to blog about (finally). It has been three weeks since the Timberwolves basketball team was able to put a notch in the win column, but it has felt like forever. Last night at the Target Center, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Philadelphia 76ers 102-96

"They were desperate,'' 76ers sixth man Willie Green said. "They had a sense of urgency all game long. They wanted it more than us. It was obvious.''

This Timberwolves fan was desperate two weeks ago, I guess our team is a little behind the fan base. Vikings player Chad Greenway sat Target Center courtside to cheer on friend and fellow South Dakotan Mike Miller. Perhaps Greenway needs to make it to more games, he was the lucky charm. I wish he could be at the Target Center Friday night when the Timberwolves play the Boston Celtics. It's going to be a tough game to watch.

The game against the Celtics was crazy. I was there and say more excitement from the fans to see K.G. then to actually see their own team play. I think the Wolves gave up after the second quarter. Better luck next time Minnesota.
