Recapping Minnesota Timberwolves Scores too depressing to do

The Minnesota Timberwolves SUCK, plain and simple no couching it in nice words or witty alliteration, the Timberwolves Roster is playing like a bunch of junior high schoolers... NOT GOOD.

Currently, the Minnesota Timberwolves are on the worst losing streak in the league and are the proud holders of the LAST PLACE in the NBA rankings... That's right Timberwolves Fans, we are the last in the league (no one sucks worse than we do right now). I had had every intention of recapping the March Minnesota Timberwolves Games for you today, but that really just seems like a waste. They have lost every game they have played in the month of March. Currently, the Minnesota Timberwolves have 11 games left... even if they win all 11 there is no prayer for a post season appearance from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Timberwolves Rookie, Jonny Flynn told reporters on Monday night after a terrible loss to the Toronto Raptors that the Timberwolves needed to figure out how to close a the game. Well DUH.. how about scoring more or making better plays, that might help too.

Another disappointing Minnesota Timberwolves Game bumps current losing streak up to 3

I'm not sure why I even get disappointed posting Timberwolves Losses anymore... it seems like the team that started the season as the "Little Team that Could" has quickly become the "Little Team that Never Will". While I am not a huge believer in negativity (it really doesn't get you anywhere) I won't lie to you... I'm down and out when it comes to my boys.

The Timberwolves had 5 games last week and posted only one W. The Minnesota Timberwolves started last week with a Sunday home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder (the Timberwolves lost 109-107), next the Timberwolves Roster took on Miami Heat in Miami on Tuesday, the warm Florida weather helped the Wolves post their only Win of the week. Wednesday the Timbewolves lost in Atlanta, before going to Oklahoma City to be beaten for the second time in the same week by the Thunder. The Minnesota Timberwolves finished their week of sucking in the Target Center, when they lost to the the Portland Trailblazers 110-91.

This week the Minnesota Timberwolves will in Dallas on Wednesday and at home on Saturday against Houston. Next week the Minnesota Timberwolves Schedule has 3 home games and LOTS of opportunity for the Timberwolves to redeem themselves (or continue to come up short, we can all guess what it the most likely answer).

Minnesota Timberwolves 60 second Game Recap

The Minnesota Timberwolves are on a roller coaster this season, there are days that they seem to be climbing towards the top, maybe not winning every game but trending in the right direction. The Timberwolves roster seems to be clicking, running the Triangle Offense that Kurt Rambis has set out, things are just going right. Then the Minnesota Timberwolves WIN, and things are great, spirits are high... Timberwolves fans feel good and the Target Center becomes the place to be. And then the Timberwolves lose... and lose again, and lose again. The constant ups and downs the Minnesota Timberwolves have put me through this season have honestly made it hard to watch every game... its just to painful to watch them suck night after night.

Hence, I have not had great Timberwolves Game re-caps on my blog this season... I'm sorry. Because I don't have time to write a detailed post for every game, and lets face it you are not interested I'll just recap the Timberwolves Scores since Jan. 1st

Minnesota Timberwolves spend holiday season riding the win rollercoaster up and down

With the holiday dust settled and the last of the decorations put away, I thought it might be time to recap the Holiday Basketball Series the Minnesota Timberwolves played (mostly, I'm just looking for ways to avoid having to go to the gym and work on my New Years Eve Resolutions).

The week of Christmas, the Minnesota Timberwolves played really well. On December 23rd the Timberwolves beat the New Jersey Nets in New Jersey 103-99, then on the 26th they beat the Washington Wizards at the Target Center 101-89. A part of me hoped that my holiday wishes had been answered and the Minnesota Timberwolves were going to go on a massive winning streak... No such luck.

The week of New Years left the Timberwolves in the dumps. On December 29th the Twolves lost to the San Antonio Spurs on the road... the game was ok, and the loss was probably predictable. However what really made me want to give up on was our loss to the Utah Jazz, while they aren't a terrible team, they aren't great and we have beat them multiple times... the game on New Years Eve-Eve was just crappy, period. Two more losses on the 1st and 2nd brought the Timberwolves Crap Game Streak up to 4 and my fan support circling the drain.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been off for the past few days and better be ready to come back refreshed and ready, they take on the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. If we lose to the Warriors I may seriously consider being done as a Timberwolves Fan. I have Minnesota Timberwolves Tickets for lots of games this season though, so we better win...

Is the new pattern for the Minnesota Timberwolves Record going to be Loss, Loss Win?

No one would venture to say that the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to be the best team in the NBA any time soon, in fact most Timberwolves fans would be happy as long as we are not the worst team... but it is starting to get frustrating that the Timberwolves seem to need to lose two games in between wins.

After a great game against the Utah Jazz last Saturday (See Minnesota Timberwolves Game Review, below) the Wolves lost two consecutive games this week and the next two really don't look much better. The Wolves played the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday Night and the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday. Both games were close, last night's being only a point difference, but the trouble is you don't get any extra ranking for close losses, they are still losses. And if the Minnesota Timberwolves want any kind of respectable record at the end of this season they are going to have to start posting more wins.

Good news, the Timberwolves play the Utah Jazz again on Monday December 14th, There are lots of Minnesota Timberwolves Tickets available for that game, as well as both of the home games later next week!

A Timberwolves Win…FINALLY

The Minnesota Timberwolves finally (FINALLY!) snapped their losing streak (10 games in a row to be exact) last night when they beat the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center. I breathed a deep sigh of relief because I was seriously starting to believe that this team wasn’t going to win another game this season…sure, I have said that out of anger before, but I was actually starting to believe it. Final Score: Wolves 104 Grizzlies 79

The Grizzlies coach said this:

“…it was the most disappointing game, embarrassing for me as a coach and I hope it was embarrassing for them as a team."

I bet it was embarrassing to lose to the Minnesota Timberwolves – at least I can tell my friends that the Memphis Grizzlies are more pathetic than the Minnesota Timberwolves – misery loves company, right!?!?

Timberwolves Losing Streak

I was going to hold off on posting another Timberwolves blog entry until the next win, but these days it’s looking like that could be a long time coming. The last Timberwolves win was on February 18th when the Timberwolves beat the Miami Heat. 7 straight losses and two weeks later, the Timberwolves are looking more and more pathetic. Next week, the Timberwolves return home to play four home games – hopefully, the home stand will bring some excitement back to this Timberwolves team (and the fans?).

If the Timberwolves lose on Monday and Wednesday, you can bet that the Target Center will be empty (emptier!) on Friday and Saturday. It’s sad, really. Minneapolis has such potential to be an NBA hotbed, but the owner is choking the potential. They may have to give Timberwolves tickets away if they want warm bodies in the seats. Not $5 tickets, free tickets – Minnesotans love free…not free falling (like the team), but just free. Plus, don't they make some money on concessions - that may be the only hope - people have to eat.

Timberwolves Lose Al, Lose Games, Lose Composure

If you are a Timberwolves fan you are probably just as depressed as I am that Al Jefferson is out for the entire season due to a torn right knee ligament. Jefferson was THE REASON I actually went to the Target Center to watch a game or two.

Even with Jefferson out, the Timberwolves last night looked exactly like the team they had been in the first half of the season with him. Wolves lost to the Raptors 102-110 at the Target Center Minneapolis last night.

Quote: “The Wolves squandered a 13-point, third-quarter lead and surrendered 69 second-half points”

Sounds familiar? It is. It’s the same story over and over with this team. The Timberwolves can’t seem to play four quarters of basketball.


"We just got tired," Timberwolves head coach Kevin McHale said. "On both ends."


The fans are tired, too, Kevin. The fans are tired too. What are we going to do?

Timberwolves continue Losing Streak, Hope for Future?

One of my buddies emailed me this Timberwolves factoid this morning - I am sure he read it in a sports column or something:

“The Timberwolves, who have lost 13 straight games, have 10 players with guaranteed contracts for next year.”

I emailed back, “oh, great.” He emailed me back, “The Timberwolves coach however has NO guaranteed contract.”

Was that glimmer of hope my holiday present? Probably. This buddy is a cheapskate, but he has been to a game or two with me. I tell you what, Timberwolves blogging is becoming a depressing past time. Loss after loss. I am LOSING interest.

Timberwolves lose again. And again. And Again.

There is still no good news from the Minnesota Timberwolves to blog about. Last Thursday, I posted the scores from the first three games of November and they were all LOSSES. This Thursday, as I am checking back in, I have to report three more losing scores. This has been a tough start to the new season for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On Saturday, the Timberwolves return home (thankfully?) to the Target Center Minneapolis and host the Portland Trailblazers. Timberwolves Tickets for this game are more expensive than I think they should be (then again, I think they should be free). The Timberwolves are 1-6 and Portland Trail Blazers are 5-3 and they beat us last week - you do the math. Do you think fans are going to rush out to the Target Center to see this flimsy Wolves team? Not until they show us they know how to win.

Sure the NBA season is early and the Wolves are looking better than last year, a lot better actually, but so far the team hasn’t been able to make the “money shots” and the month of November has been dismal.

Timberwolves Losing Again

It seems just when I think the Timberwolves team is creating some on court chemistry and has potential to be a winning team, things take a turn for the worse. The Wolves have lost the last six games. Six! Now, I know most Timberwolves fans are fine with losing and actually want to lose to get better draft lottery chances, but it just seems so dismantling to a teams mojo and that disgruntled team feeling is sure to carry over to next season. This Timberwolves team needs (desperately) to figure out what works and it doesn’t look like they have figured that out yet…and the season is almost over with.

There is only one more home game next Wednesday April 16th Timberwolves vs Milwaukee Bucks at the Target Center. Timberwolves Tickets are $20 to sit on the lower level, which is less than half of face value. Good thing, because this team is only playing half of what I would expect from an NBA team.

Timberwolves lose games, fans and even players

Timberwolves lose, Timberwolves lose again that’s about all Timberwolves bloggers have to say these days. The Timbewolves NBA team is quickly losing any fan base it may have had. The team keeps losing on the Target Center hardwood and keep losing fans in the process and losing players!

Kevin Mchale has completed contract buyouts with veterans Juwan Howard and Theo Ratliff, allowing them to seek opportunities with championship contenders, and he traded unhappy Gerald Green to his hometown Houston Rockets. What kind of message does that send to the fans?

On the bright side, timberwolves tickets are really cheap and you can head out to the Target Center to see a professional sports team for less than $30 for really good seats!

Timberwolves lose three more

The Minnesota Timberwovles continue on their downward spiral and lose three more games. The Wolves lost to the Seattle Super Sonics 88-99 at the Target Center and then on the road to the Milwaukee Bucks in a squeaker 92-95. The Timberwolves then lost in Miami 87-91 to the Miami Heat after leading in the fourth quarter. The Timberwolves return to the Target Center tomorrow night to face the Golden State Warriors. I am sure the Target Center will be half empty and you can get really good Timberwolves tickets for cheap! Or just buy a cheap seat and move down!
