The Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the Phoenix Suns on Monday, by a score of 114-90.

Kevin Love poured in a game-high 25 points and ripped down 13 rebounds. J.J. Barea added 16 points and five assists for the Timberwolves. The loss puts the Wolves at six consecutive losses. Michael Beasley contributed 12 points and Nikola Pekovic contributed 11 in the loss.

Timberwolves New Schedule Released

The NBA released schedules recently. I gotta say, I'm liking the Wolves schedule for next season! First things first, I love that we open up at home. That place will be packed to see the debuts of Ricky Rubio and Derrick Williams, so I could really see us starting the season off with a win. Also we start out the season against Atlanta, at Phillie, then home games vs. Phoenix, Toronto and Sacramento. We could easily win the first game against Atlanta because of the crowd and everything. We'll probably lose at Philadelphia but I could see us taking at least two out of three in those last three home games. That means a 4-1 or 3-2 start is a very real possibility for the Wolves. Here are three games I'm really looking forward too.

November 25th vs. Houston Rockets: No, I don't care about Kevin McHale's return, I just am excited because it will be on ESPN.

December 23rd vs. Dallas Mavericks - Who doesn't want to see the Wolves take on the champs!? Plus the Mavs have Rudy Fernandez from Spain, Ricky vs. Rudy Part one. I can't wait.

February 6th at Memphis - Nothing special here. I just think the Grizz are a really cool team and I want to watch them steam roll the Wolves.

Here's a link to the full schedule

Mike Woodson and Terry Porter are First to Interview for Head Coaching Position

David Kahn and the basketball operations staff began interviewing candidates for the head coaching vacancy early this week. The first two candidates to come in were Mike Woodson and Terry Porter. Both of these choices really puzzled me, but I feel like Kahn is trying to get as many big names in as possible to interview, just to excite the fan base. I like the Woodson interview just because he has been through this before. He took a Hawks team that won 13 games in his first season to 3 consecutive playoff births after his 6th season. The puzzling part for me is that he is a defensive minded coach and his teams have played at the slowest paces while he was a coach for the Hawks.

The Terry Porter interview really doesn't make sense to me. The only thing that makes sense about it is that he was a successful NBA point guard who could mentor Ricky Rubio. Here's a guy who went to the Phoenix Suns and slowed down the fastest team in the NBA. Kahn, this is literally exactly the opposite of what you want. He has already slowed down one team, you probably don't share the same beliefs as him, so this would have a terrible ending. If you want up tempo, look at Don Nelson or Rick Adelman.

Last Home Game of the Season

Michael BeasleyThe Minnesota Timberwolves are playing the Phoenix Suns tonight in Phoenix, Arizona. It is their last road game of the season. The final game of the season comes on Wednesday, April 13th against the Houston Rockets at the Target Center. It was another rough season for Minnesota Timberwolves fans, as the season draws to a close. With that being said, I at least applaud the players for grinding out the season and closing out the year. Hopefully we can finally secure a Top Pick in the 2011 NBA Draft (first or second for a change) and change our fortune around. Use Ticket King for any Minnesota Timberwolves tickets!

Important Game 6's for Suns and Magic

When the Lakers and Celtics both held 2-0 leads over the Suns and Magic, everyone was already talking about a Lakers-Celtics final. Well not so fast. Although it may be looking that way, the Suns are one box out away from possibly winning Game 5 against the Lakers and leading 3-2. Both the Magic and Suns trail 3-2 in the series as the Magic are trying to become the first team to erase a 3-0 deficit in playoff history. The Suns were crushed after a heartbreaking loss last night, but I fully expect them to bounce back from that and play well in front of their home crowd on Saturday night. Meanwhile, the Magic have to play their game in Boston, and that should be pretty difficult. That game will be treated with a game 7 like atmosphere, considering the Magic will go home for game 7 if they are able to win the game in Bean Town tonight. Whatever happens, I couldn't be happier that the Magic and Suns have given us a reason to watch the Conference Finals

We've Got a Series!

The Phoenix Suns won game 4 of the Western Conference Finals last night to tie the series at 2 a piece. The Suns played a magnificent game last night. The bench was the story of the night. They played almost the entire 4th quarter and at one point, head coach Alvin Gentry had 2 time MVP Steve Nash come back to sit down because his back up, Goran Dragic, was playing so well. Channing Frye, who had missed 19 shots in a row, had a coming out party against the Lakers as he was 4-8 from distance. The bench outscored the Laker bench 54-20 and even outscored Kobe Bryant who scored 38 points. The Lakers haven't figured out the Suns zone defense, and the Suns have turned this into a 3 point shooting contest. If this series continues to be a 3 point shooting contest, then look for the Suns to advance to the NBA Finals.

Here Come the Suns!

Last night, the Phoenix Suns beat the Los Angeles Lakers in game three of the Western Conference Finals. The Lakers now lead the Suns 2-1 in the series. What is more exciting than the fact that we finally have a series that could go seven games is the way Phoenix won this game. They dominated inside. Everyone was saying that the Lakers are too tall for the Suns and that they would easily lose the series, but it was the Suns who looked too tall on Sunday night. Amar'e Stoudemire played like a man possessed, scoring 41 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Robin Lopez added 20 points while being a fantastic defensive presence. The Suns also tend to rely on their 3 point shooting, but on Sunday night, they made 5-20. Imagine, if the Suns are able to sprinkle in their normally fantastic 3 point shooting, they might be able to conquer the Lakers and pull of the upset. Don't count on the Suns winning the series with another game like this, but it's nice that they have the ability to win even when their shots aren't falling.

Minnesota Timberwolves suffer embarassing loss against the Suns

The Minnesota Timberwolves have not had a great season, no one would think they had. However, last night's game against the Phoenix Suns was embarrassing, terrible and gave me good reason to give up being a Minnesota Timberwolves game.

The Phoenix Suns beat the Minnesota Timberwovlves 114-152. The Suns took control of the game early in the 1st quarter and never gave it up. In fact the Timberwolves gave up the second highest amount of points in a single half, letting the Suns score 79 points before the half.

Last night's Minnesota Timberwolves game was only game 2 of a hard 4 game road trip... If the Minnesota Timbewolves don't manage to salvage any of the rest of this season they can kiss signing anyone with real talent next season... who is going to want to play for us?

Spend Black Friday with the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center

Not into holiday shopping? Your idea of fun does not include pushing through large crowds for door-busters and big savings? Mine either....

Instead of being trampled by over-zealous holiday shoppers, why not spend Black Friday in the comfortable seats of the Target Center, where the Minnesota Timberwolves will be taking on the Phoenix Suns. There are still lots of Cheap Timberwolves Tickets left for this game, I personally can't think of a better door-buster!

Tip off for the Friday November 27th Timberwolves-Suns game is at 8:30 p.m.

Timberwolves winning steak, 60 point swing

Basketball is a strange game. It seems like only yesterday when I was leaving the Target Center at half time because my Minnesota Timberwolves were down by forty. Actually, that was three years ago or so when I had half season tickets. The Wolves were a good team then. They were competitive. Now days, the Wolves aren’t considered competitive, especially if you take a peek at their gruesome record.

But this years’ Timberwolves did something spectacular on Wednesday night. They opened up their own huge lead on the Phoenix Suns, 60-39 to be exact. I’m stunned by the fact that this years’ team can push around the Suns when the Keving Garnett era Wolves couldn’t muster a fight. This is a 60-point swing. I guess one could chalk it up to the inconsistency of the Phoenix Suns this season and in seasons past, but I would rather jut enjoy it and celebrate the Minnesota Timberwolves winning streak!

Timberwolves beat the Phoenix Suns

When I saw the Timberwolves Suns score on the ESPN ticker, I swore it was a misprint so I immediately flipped it to the local news and sure enough the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Phoenix Suns 100-93 at the Target Center. All of the Timberwolves fans that bought super cheap Timberwolves tickets definitely got to see the best game of the year. Steve Nash, the Phoenix Suns and a Timberwolves victory all in one night, I would have never even thought it could have been possible...this year! I guess anything is possible with this young TWolves team. Way to go Wolves, way to embarrass one of the best teams in the NBA!
